Below is an inventory of maps that have been prepared by GTC staff and are available for your reference. The listing below includes maps prepared for general reference, as well as a large number of maps that were developed as part of the Long Range Transportation Plan for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region: 2007-2027 Update (2007-2027 LRTP Update). Maps that have been developed for other specific projects and/or tasks are noted as such.

Map Name:  GTC Nine-County Planning Region and Rochester Transportation Management Area (TMA)

 

GTC Nine-County Planning Region Map

Description: This map depicts the nine-county Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, along with the Rochester TMA. The Genesee-Finger Lakes Region is the area for which GTC is responsible in terms of transportation planning and is comprised of Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties.

Map Name:  Rochester Transportation Management Area (TMA)

 

Rochester Transportation Management Area Map

Description: This map depicts the Rochester Transportation Management Area, which is comprised of Monroe County plus the adjacent developed areas of Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne counties. The Rochester TMA is the primary area of focus for GTC's transportation planning efforts.

Commuter Corridors Map

Description: This map depicts Commuter Corridors in the Rochester Transportation Management Area (TMA). These corridors were identified as representing the movements made by commuters. These corridors are comprised of multiple facilities (i.e., roads, transit routes, etc.), which are listed for each corridor.

Regional Trade Corridors Map

Description: This map depicts Regional Trade Corridors in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. These corridors were identified to reflect the movement of trade, both within and through the region. These corridors were grouped into one of three categories; primary regional, secondary regional, or collector corridor.

Map Name:  Zero Vehicle Households per Square Mile

 

Zero-Vehicle Households per Square Mile Map

Description: This map depicts the density of zero-vehicle households in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. The vast majority of these zero-vehicle households are concentrated in the City of Rochester; however, even in suburban and rural areas throughout the region, zero-vehicle ownership ranges from 6 to 10 percent of all households.

Map Name:  Annual Average Daily Traffic (2004)

 

2004 Annual Average Daily Traffic Map

Description: This map depicts the 2004 Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) volumes on the State highway and bridge network in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. Annual daily traffic volumes are highest on the Interstates (I-90, I-490, I-390, and I-590) and on select New York State and Monroe County routes.

Description: This map depicts the Inbound Tonnage of goods moving into and out of the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region by U.S. and Canadian economic area. The majority of inbound tonnage (75.9%) to and from the region originates and terminates within the Northeast U.S.

Roadways with Significant Daily Truck Traffic Map

Description: This map depicts Roadways with Significant Daily Truck Traffic in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region as defined by facilities with average daily truck traffic that is more than 20% above the regional average. These roadways include interstates, major east-west routes, and the Route 63 corridor.

Description: This map depicts the Active Class 1, and Class 3 (Short Line) Railroads in the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region. Two Class 1 (annual revenues in excess of $250 million) railroads, and ten Class 3 (annual revenues less than $20 million) railroads operate in the region.
